I'm not exactly the target demographic for this. But even I was hearing the buzz about Eminem's new video that would not be played on TV until voters flooded TRL and made it the most requested video on MTV.
So I checked it out. And I've just seen the most amazingly effective GOTV campaign aimed at the young, the underprivileged, and the disaffected. The message is clear, even for those of us who don't do hip-hop.
Angry. Powerful. Effective. And in the end, positive. The images of an army of disaffected people, dressed in black sweatshirts, storming a government building...to vote. Amazing.
I've always felt that the youth of this country could make a difference, if we could just get them to give a damn. And Mr. Mathers is probably the right guy to deliver the message.
