Tidbits
+ The Republicans are spin masters. Who would have thought to spin the following as positives:
- Rich people hire lawyers and accountants to get out of taxes, so there's no point in taxing them anyway
- Terrorists are pouring into Iraq to kill Americans and anyone who supports them.
+ Interesting family tree - Bush and Kerry are 9th cousins, twice removed. Note some of the family names in Bush's lineage - Reade, Lake, Gallup, Stevens, Smith, Bush. Maybe a clue as to why those Gallup polls are so skewed. Kerry's is more paternal - Reade, Winthrop, Forbes, Kerry. His mother was a Forbes - I wonder how close that relation is. Shows just how class-stratified this country really is - and just how unusual Clinton really was.
+ Zogby's famous poll last cycle - 46.2% for the tin man, 46.2% for the scarecrow - shows an interesting update. More than 50% of polled respondents this month preferred the Tin Man (all brain, no heart) to the scarecrow (all heart, no brain). Doesn't take a Tin Man to know who he's talking about.
+ Although there's a big push to make sure the overseas military gets absentee ballots, it appears that expatriate civilians, who would tend to lean more left, are being sent the ballots too late to vote.

More than a few bricks shy. The guy's a full-bore loonie, with theories that start with the International Jewish Conspiracy and end with Lizards from Mars.
And when you think about it, it's not unreasonable that all these famous people are descended from Philip of Macedonia. After 20 or 30 generations, everybody is pretty much related to everybody else, and since people in power tend to associate with other people in power, you'd expect them to be related.
Note the presidents who are missing from the list - Clinton, Reagan, Carter, Truman, Lincoln, etc...people born in modest means who were self-made, instead of born to privilege.
