Clarke isn't the only one
Richard Clarke isn't the only ex-Administration official who is now criticising BushCo and working against them. Paul O'neill, of course, said many of the same things last year, and was villified by BushCo as a disgruntled ex-employee.
But, as The Talking Points Memo points out, BushCo is using Clarke's relationship with Rand Beers, currently one of Kerry's campaign advisors, as evidence that his book is politically motivated. But Beers was also a critical counter-terrorism figure in the administration. Why is it that people working for BushCo keep quitting?
Also, Cheney, talking about Clarke, said on Rush Limbaugh's show ""He wasn't in the loop, frankly, on a lot of this stuff".
Question....
What should we think about an administration that is so secretive that it keeps it's top counter-terrorism advisor out of the loop?
