Nader/LaDuke II
They're running again. Why? Well, I'm not sure, but let's look at his reasons for running last time:
#1 - There's no difference between [The Democratic Nominee] and [The Republican Nominee].
Hmmm. I don't think ANYONE would believe that arguement anymore. As much as Gore and Bush were running towards the center in 2000, Moderates to Progressives can see clearly that the Bush Presidency is actually as right-wing as any administration in a long time.
#2 - Building a third party.
He's running as an Independent. No third party building. Not that it worked last time, either.
There are only 2 reasons I can see for Nader to run. So which is it -- Is he a secret shill for the Bush campaign, trying to siphon off just enough votes from the left? Or is a an egotist with delusions of grandeur?
Doesn't really matter, the effect is the same either way. And hopefully, people will be focused on ending the Bush presidency, and will make the choice that will accomplish that end.
