Soon after the Columbine shootings in 1999 (37 days, to be exact), Darrell Scott, father of one of the slain children, spokein front of the House Judiciary Subcommittee about the shootings.
What he said was heartfelt, and although his family seems to have a specific axe to grind (It was his son who claimed, falsely, that Cassie Bernall was shot for believing in God), it is hisright to say it.
What I DON't like is when people twist the truth to make a point. An email is STILL circulating on the Internet (I got it today)that claims that his testimony was suppressed and that our "national leaders...were not prepared for what he was to say".
Scott was one of dozens of people who testified. His testimonygot no more, and no less, coverage than most of the others.
The most important thing...the email ends by saying "Please send this out to everyone you can!!!".
Remember, please ALWAYS be suspicious of emails that ask to beforwarded. They tend to be less than completely truthful.
