A former EPA employee leaked internal memos from the EPA to the National Wildlife Fund that show that the White house doctored the conclusions of the EPA's report on the state of the environment, using data from a study funded by the petroleum industry.
Basically, all scientific evidence of increasing global temperatureswas replaced with skewed data showing that evidence of global warmingwas inconclusive.
The NY Times said:
The changes demanded by the White House were so extensive that the climate section ``no longer accurately represents scientific consensus on climate change,'' according to an April 29 EPA staff memo. It characterized the revised draft as an embarrassment to the agency.
