Edwards the 4th most liberal Senator?
I've been hearing this the last few days, and it made no sense to me, since the reason that I decided to vote Kerry in the Primary was that Edwards was just a little TOO CENTRIST for me. I liked Kerry because I felt he was just a little to my right - Left-Moderate, While Paul Wellstone (rest his soul) and Ted Kennedy would be Left Wing.
So how could be be the 4th most liberal, and Kerry the 1st?

A reader of Andrew Sullivan's blog sent an analysis that makes more sense - Edwards as a centrist, Kerry as Left-Moderate.
Bush, OTOH, says he's a centrist, but his actions show him Right Wing.
