OK then, we won't let our dirty old Unix servers touch you
From a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation given on Thursday, March 4, 2004 in NE Ohio: "[MyDoom] spreads through UNIX mail servers; actually thought by some experts in the field to be a subtle DoS attack on SCO"
(I have confirmed from 3 different people who attended. This actually happened)
This is like RJ Reynolds saying "Smoking Camel cigarettes causes cancer". (Thanks for the great analogy, Flophouse) True as far as it goes but completely misses the point.
Of course, if Microsoft really feels that way, then we'll just reconfigure our Unix Mail Servers to reject all connections from Exchange servers and bounce all mail that requires connections to Exchange servers.
Of course, I think your users will begin to wonder why they can't email most of the world.
