Openware isn't actually Open Source - and they're lousy coders, too
The Openware "Open Source IE Patch" turns out to have a few problems.
- Nasty buffer overflow vulnerabilities due to poor coding
- Memory leaks
- And code that seems to enable a live update allowing the Openware people to keep updating their software.
Also, the code was never released under an Open Source license (although the source code WAS available).
Anti-Open Source people are going to have a field day with this one. These guys may have done irreperable harm to the whole movement, not just their own reputations.
