Why is IBM supporting Linux?

IBM Says:

"Because we admire it, we believe in it, we need it and it's good for customers. And, well...it's a lot of fun."

Don't believe it for a minute. They're supporting Linux because its a way for them make more $$$, bottom line. Don't think there is anything else behind it, there are can be no noble deeds when your company is known by 3 letters.
