Well, I'm pretty much committed to s9y (serendipity) as my weblog of choice. As I said earlier, the tipping point was the ability to embed the weblog within my web page. Although the weblogs are becoming most of the webpage for the public, I have lots of 'Intranet' stuff that is used by friends and family that I wanted to have front-page access to, and so I keep my sidebar handy.
I've been added to the
developer list for s9y (it was originally knows as php-blog). Although still under development, it's clear that the project is at a point where the critical functionality is there and the project is looking to add features. There's been some discussion on the developer list of some template rewrites, but as it's pretty much a template wrapped around an API anyway, that's not a big deal.
So I'm trying to learn about RSS standards, and trackbacks, pings, tracking, and the whole weblog universe. I think there's some things that Movable Type and some of the other blogs do that I can add to s9y.
Not that I have so much time on my hands
